SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. has introduced the seventh-generation BMW M5 sedan and third-generation M5 Touring in the Philippines, both with an electrified drivetrain for the first time.
A 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 works with an electric motor to produce 727 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. The M Hybrid system delivers up to 69 km of electric range for the sedan and 67 km for the Touring, with a top speed of 305 km/h when equipped with the M Driver’s Package.
Both models feature wider arches, sculpted bumpers, M-specific trim, and quad exhausts. Inside are M sports seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and the BMW Widescreen Display with OS 8.5. Adaptive M suspension, rear-wheel steering, and carbon-ceramic brakes are standard.
Pricing for the M5 and M5 Touring is ₱12,790,000, including a 5-year warranty and 8-year battery coverage.ww
